District Bijnor Rope Skipping Championship 2026 to Promote Rope Skipping Among School Students

The championship is being organized with the support of VSD Public School with the objective of promoting rope skipping as a competitive sport and encouraging greater participation in physical activity among school students across Bijnor district.

The event will provide young athletes an opportunity to demonstrate their speed, coordination, agility, endurance and skipping skills in a structured competitive environment.

Age Categories

The championship will include male and female participants in the following age groups:

Under 10 – Novice Under 12 Under 14 – Sub-Junior Under 17 – Junior Above 17 – Senior Championship Events

Participants will compete in the following events:

Speed Hop – 30 Seconds Speed Sprint – 30 Seconds

The competition is expected to provide an important platform for identifying and encouraging young rope skipping talent at the district level.

The championship is being organized under the guidance of the UPRSA Rope Skipping Association, with the aim of strengthening the grassroots development of rope skipping and creating opportunities for school students to participate in organized sporting activities.

Principal Vijay Choudhary of VSD Public School has extended support for hosting the district-level sporting event at the school. Hemlata Arya, Physical Education Teacher, is also supporting the organization and promotion of the championship among students.

Promoting School Sports in Bijnor

The primary purpose of the championship is to promote rope skipping sports in schools across Bijnor district and encourage students to adopt regular physical activity through an enjoyable and competitive sporting discipline.

Rope skipping requires minimal equipment while developing several important physical abilities, including coordination, balance, rhythm, agility, speed and cardiovascular fitness. Organizers believe that introducing students to structured rope skipping competitions can help create a stronger sporting culture at the school and district levels.

The District Bijnor Rope Skipping Championship 2026 is expected to bring together young athletes, schools, physical education teachers and sports enthusiasts and provide a platform for students to experience competitive rope skipping.

Schools and eligible students are encouraged to complete their registration before the October 25, 2026 deadline.
